From Italian designer deadstock, this is a very special, textured suiting woven on a jacquard loom with just a bit of relief on the surface. An opaque, medium dress weight or lighter suiting, this fabric is stable and will hold structure and shape with a dry hand and some cottony crispness in the drape. Rich visual and textural interest are created by the variation in weave, fiber and color. The edgy abstract motif has a 5.25" repeat and features a yarn-dyed design in soft white, frosty blue, and taupe. It is a medium suiting weight with substance, and opaque with a firmer drape. The acetate content lends a wonderful luster and creates an iridescent quality when it catches the light. The reverse is attractive as well, but it's not really meant to be seen due to the float threads. Make a one-of-a-kind jacket, suit, dress or skirt, structured or voluminous gown, topper, etc.
